First shot that I really liked.
This is the first shot that I liked since we bought the camera yesterday. An intimate moment between two tortoises. ![]()
Nikon D40 controls tutorial
My husband bought me a Nikon D40 yesterday as an early birthday gift. It’s truly everything that I had hoped it would be. At first it was pretty hard to find my way through the myriad of buttons and functions that I wasn’t familiar with at all. Good thing Ken Rockwell wrote this interesting Nikon D40 User’s Guide, and it’s in plain english so that noobs like me will find it easier to understand. [Read more]

Review: FlexMail 4, Email software for Windows Mobile
FlexMail 4 is a very feature-packed email software that can handle SMS and/or email accounts on your pocket pc. I was curious about the application and how it would enrich my mobile experience so I tried it out.
Installation:
The installation file is pretty big so I installed it in my storage card and it works pretty well even if it’s not installed in the phone memory. I just set Wisbar Advance to hide it from the taskbar so that it won’t show up when it’s minimized, and it will just minimize to the background when I close it.
Features:
FlexMail 4 has so many features, I don’t know where to start. Take a look at its feature list to see what I mean. I guess I will just mention here the features that stood out to me as a basic user. First, I noticed that setting up email accounts is extremely easy and visual. The options to change settings is also quite visual and user-friendly. You can tweak each email account in many ways; the way it’s ordered in the accounts tree list, the way sessions are handled (manual send/receive, send/receive when launched, periodic update, etc), different signatures for each email account, and so much more. Even the management of data in each folder is made easy. You can also copy or move SMS or email from one account to another account. Another interesting feature is the ability to create rules similar to those in Microsoft Outlook, it’s great for email management, like if you want to automatically sort incoming mail to different folders. You can even view HTML formatting in email sent to you. [Read more]
Setting up Gmail POP3 email in your Pocket Outlook (Windows Mobile)
Since my pocket pc does not have push email capabilities (and even if it did it would be too expensive for me to maintain), I usually send and receive email through my Pocket Outlook. Aside from synchronizing my outlook mail, I have also set up my Gmail account (POP) so I can send and receive email on the go, and only when I need to.
Here are a few simple and easy steps to set up Gmail POP email in your Windows Mobile device:
1. Launch Pocket Outlook. Tap on Menu, Tools, then tap on “New Account”
2. Type in your Gmail email address in the blank, and then tap “next” at the bottom.
3. Autoconfiguration will try to download the configurations for your email. You may skip this by tapping on the “next” button at the bottom.
